This is such an unusual and beautiful paisley both in design and color. The light tan background really helps the reds and blues pop, and the pink and yellow are perfect accents. The last photo shows a tape for scale and the second to the last photo is of the back to help you see how richly saturated this fabric is. This is a strip that is 9” wide and 36” long. It looks to have been lightly quilted and the sides have some little threads still from where it was previously sewn. Overall condition is excellent for its age. I date it to circa 1850.
