This chintz is a gorgeous all over floral print. The background is cream with a pale grey stripe. The detail in the floral vines is wonderful. This chintz has lost its glaze but is still a wonderful piece. It is a 32” selvage width and is 19” long. I don’t know what this once was a part of, but there are tiny tack holes. There are also three spots along the upper and lower edges where a chunk of fabric is gone. I’ve shown them in the last photos. I found this piece in the South of France but my instinct is that it is an English piece. I think it dates to circa 1840’s.
