I love the bold colors in this fabulous compass quilt. It wa made for a poster bed. Each compass square measures 15” x 15,5 . A 2 inch sashing frames them beautifully. Post length is 72 and sleeve length is 89”, This central part of the quilt has 20 compas quilts. The drop down is 57”x 17”. with 3 compass squares. The backing is an off white muslin,, Overall condition is excellent. It dates to circa 1880. Quilting is hand done.
